S5 JDM Efan?

Confused, yes I did search.

The jspec Series 5 engines, did they come with an efan?
I've looked at two sites now that carry them for about 800USD and they all have the standard S4 clutch fan on the engine in the pic. They all claim they are 1991.
Last thing I want is to pay for an S5 and get myself a series 4 with less horsepower.

Im posting this becuase I was under the impression that all series 5 engines had efans from the factory. thx!

(yes i am still fixing up my beater, but im looking into future options )

I was under the impression that all FC's had clutch fans while in stock form.

ok, I think thats where im mixed up. I could have sworn that people on here were talking about how they wanted to replace their stock efan with an aftermarket, and they were always informed that the aftermarket ones were no better and possibly worse than the stock ones. Maybe I missread it and they were talking about the clutch fan, wich is entirely true

I thought that some TIIs came with a puller fan as well as having the stock clutch fan...

I bought a jspec engine and it came with a clutch fan. Somehow I don't think there would be need for 2 fans. Unless it was an extra option in the Japanese market for "high performance" reasons. I could always ask my cousins in Japan if they know anything..... Where did you find this $800 efan?? Doesn't that seem kinda steep for a fan?

It was a pusher fan mounted in front of the AC condenser. I know, it's just a slight technicality.

S4 and S5's (some) either N/A or TII came with those e-fans for the AC. My friend's TII had it (s4) mine did not (s4 GXL). It was just a stupid little fan for the AC, all 2nd gens had their main fan as the mechanical clutch fan.

Every FC ever made, no matter what country it was sold in, used a mechanical thermoclutch fan. Many FC's also had a 10" electric fan in front of the A/C condensor.
