springs?

Need some input on springs for my street 91 FC N/A. I'd like to bring the ride height down a little to accent the 17" Mille Miglia/Yoko ES100s (like maybe 1") and stiffen the handling a little but I don't want to lose my fillings every time I hit a bump. Planning on putting in non-adjustable Tokicos at the same time. Will probably replace the stock bushings with urethane but not for a while.

Most people seem to get eibach pros or racing beat springs.

Thanks for the input so far, Eibach tops my list since they seen to have a solid reputation for a decent street ride. Any one know about Tanabe? nyc_scorpio, how harsh are the tiens?

i have a 91 n/a with intrax springs i bought from summitracing for about $180 shipped...the drop is 1.6 and the ride is very good whether just cruising or driving real hard. i also live up north were most of the roads are not the best. i had a set on a 98 jetta and thats why i bought them 4 my 7... and for whatever my next ride may be.
