S5 Cone filter

I ordered a cone air filter for my S5 N/A. the inlet on filter is I think 3" but the AFM is smaller. How should I adapt it to fit?

You're supposed to buy a filter with a neck the same diameter as the AFM (2.5"). Seems pretty obvious...

My advice is to ebay the filter you got and get one that fits the end of the AFM correctly.. or you could wrap the AFM with an old inner tube from a bicycle untill its diameter is 3" and then clam the filter on there.. but if i were to look under your hood as see that.... you'd better have an asbestos suit and a pair of nike's on by the time i notice that rig job.

That's a good idea! I'm remembering that one for a few other applications!

If it's a K&N and anything like the one I got (mine's 3") I just screwed the thing until it was insanely tight and checked that there where no air leaks from behind the afm.
