S4 TID replacement?

I have seriously split turbo inlet duct on my 88 TII.
I have used some duct tape to patch, but it doesn't work very well and contributes to a serious intake leak.

Does anyone have a suggestion for replacement? I see several used on the parts thread, but I am concerned that I am just going down the same path again with parts that are gonna break pretty soon.


Suggestions?

If by "pretty soon" you mean "in about 20 years", then you better get a metal TID from CorkSport (if they still sell it). Otherwise the stock part seems pretty effective, although it is rubbery plastic, and therefore susceptible to getting hardened by engine bay/turbo heat eventually.

I've get the corksport TID that I no longer use. I dot remember how much I paid and the site doesn't list it anymore

I'm doing the PepBoyz Racing cone filter intake. I'm not thrilled, but I am at least going to set up the stock bov to recirculate.

a little RTV will get you through until you can find a "new" one.

i had that issue and did that. worked rather well actually.
