S4 TID replacement?

I have seriously split turbo inlet duct on my 88 TII.
I have used some duct tape to patch, but it doesn't work very well and contributes to a serious intake leak.

Does anyone have a suggestion for replacement? I see several used on the parts thread, but I am concerned that I am just going down the same path again with parts that are gonna break pretty soon.

Suggestions?

thanks

-J

If by "pretty soon" you mean "in about 20 years", then you better get a metal TID from CorkSport (if they still sell it). Otherwise the stock part seems pretty effective, although it is rubbery plastic, and therefore susceptible to getting hardened by engine bay/turbo heat eventually.

I'm doing the PepBoyz Racing cone filter intake. I'm not thrilled, but I am at least going to set up the stock bov to recirculate.
