Alright, I found where it is, but can someone tell me how many wires it has running to it? Or the plug type. I have a box of relays and can't tell which on it is

There's one wire on the knock sensor itself on the motor... I think it's on the intermediate iron? Don't remember. Then it goes to the knock control unit, under passenger kickpanel on the right side under the dash. It's kind of a tight spot and not very accessible.

1 wire, located on center iron, neither of those boxes are the knock control box.

I know where it is, i just don't know what the actual control unit looks like. I stripped the car completly and just have a box of all the relays and electrical parts and I don't remember what it looks like.

At least on the S4, the knock control box has a blue and white label on it with some numbers and plainly says "KNOCK CONTROL." It is in the passenger side kick panel if you are able to look on another car.

^ yep, small silver box about 4x3x2 or something, has a sticker on the front w/ blue writing, says "knock control" and has a single plug on it. its on the pass side above and to the right of the ecu on the side wall about a foot or so off the floor. there are 2 10mm bolts holding it on at the top. the atmospheric pressure sensor is next to it.

i dont believe s5's have this box, i think its all integrated into the ecu (if you have a s5)

Don't throw it away. Mount it on your laptop like I did.
