s4 and s5 timing gears for the e-shaft, same size?
I need to know if the timing gear taht goes on the ecentric shaft on a s4 and s5 are the same, i am thinking this is the cause of my timing not being able to stab right no matter how i try it.

Did you install the gear yourself? It's possible that you put the gear on backwards.
The gear is the same for pretty much all rotaries, from the FD engines all the way back to the 70's. (Part # 11-5310-0839)

I have myself f....ed that installation up and put it on backwards. The result was no matter how I stabbed the cas, I could not get enough rotation of the cas to set the timing. I had to get a rotary file and make the groove about a eight to a quarter inch longer. Car has been running just fine for the last three years. Wifes car. Never has problems.
