S4 to S5 Intake.

I am planning on buying an S5 intake from the local scrap yard to use for porting and for the nitrous install I'm going to be doing shortly, I however have an S4. Just want to make sure that there won't be any problems using the newer intake on the older engine. If there are any, could someone explain the differences.

Interested in test-fitting a new nitrous kit?

Development stages. No release until late spring, as has been stated all along.

Planning is almost finished, still working around a few bugs.

If you can ship me a 100 shot kit to Canada for less than the 900 CAD i'm paying for my kit I would be more than happy to fit your kit to my car.

Rxmfn7, holy crap thats alot more work than i thought it would be but the results really sound worth it, so I'm still going to do it. thanks for the link.

ImportFanatic if you plan on porting your engine you are better off with the S4 intake... it makes more power than the S5 on a ported motor. If your not then swap the S5 and enjoy the extra power.

Why would I ship it when I can just drop it off and help you install and tune it???

Check my location. That's why I suggested it to you.

Already got an S4 test subject, thanks. Sorry, but he's a HELL of a lot closer. In fact, he's at least in the same country...

Why does the S4 intake make more power on a ported engine than an S5 intake?

Shorter intake runners promote high rpm power.

I think "duelling banjo's" sounds better.
LOL. I would never have considered Nitrous "hick", but hey... w/e.

trust me, there is a redneck side to everything. oh and lots of people argue over this but "Hick"= an intelligence level "redneck" = a way of life or something like that

banjos just represent "Good Ole' Boys" or "backwoods"

and this conludes your Southern terminology lesson for today class
