yes and no. not without extensive parts replacement. the front cover, linkage, throttle body, water pump and TPS all have to be swapped over.

yes you can do it, but is it worth it?

I would think you would need to deal with the ECU as well...

You can use the RTek with the OMP removal option.

I swapped my S5 for the manual S4. It took lots of time and money. You also have to fabricate a lever on the throttle body or wire the manual OMP full on.
It sure would have been easier and cheaper to just replace the S5 OMP.

The OPs sig says s4, so I can only assume it has an s5 engine in it, thus wanting to know if the old omp will transfer.

S4 cars with s4 ecu's: you can delete the omp.(and go premix)
S4 Cars with an S5 engine:you can delete the s5 omp on the s5 engine.Use the S4 Cover/s4 throttle body and hook up the S4 OMP and run it.
S5 cars with an S5 OMP/ECU: you cannot take the OMP off as it will send the s5's ECU into Limp mode.
Now you could get an RTEK ECU on your S5 Car and delete the OMP and premix.

Im have an S5 and the omp went out, so i went with rtek 2.0 and premix instead of trying to find a good working omp.

thanks for all the info everyone. is it hard to change out the ecu? what do the rtek ecu's run? I think it might be easiest to just get a working omp...right?

Buy a used OMP, and be very sure that the seller is able to verify that it is in working condition.

Here is RTek information: Digital Tuning: RTek 7

you can hook up the OMP and throw it in a convenient location out of the way. it doesn't have to be spinning with the engine for the ECU to think it is all ok. also much less tendency to fail with it removed.

but all of this is a huge undertaking to just removing it and premixing.

www.pocketlogger.com is the link for Rtek.
HIT on RX7 and go from there.
Maybe it's just me and my S4 ways, but I really hate the S5 omp and it Slammin the car into limp mode. That was my main reason for never buying an S5 and just premixing anyways.
I like the fact that the premixed fuel will lubricate places where the oil injectors don't spray.
