Water thermo switch help

The water thermo switch (back of water pump) engine harness clip broke and literally deteriorated on my girls s4 t2. I purchased a replacement bosch ev1 injector clip. Since the harness doesn't give you a lot of room, I'm going to try to straighten the clips and insert them into the new connector.

Which way do the wires go? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Almost done with the rebuild and this happens. :/

The order isn't important as long as both pins mate properly then you will be fine.

FYI thats the thermosensor. The thermoswitch is at the bottom of the radiator.

@J-rat Thanks for the correction. Still the same advice, doesn't matter on pin location?

Pins slid right into the new connector without any issue. However, now there is about an inch of wire with no tape wrap. I'm hoping that I can start the car and drive it a little before pullIng off the uim to fix it. I can't get my hands in there. :/

satch is right, its a thermo resistor so the polarity of the pins does not matter.
