S-AFC and AVC-R

Hey,
I was wondering if anybody has installed both of these in their car? I was looking over the schematic for both of them and some of the hookups require use of the same wire. So any recommendations on hooking these up together?

Thanks in advance.

Just splice them all into the same wire...

Hey, thanks for the reply Ted...I have one more question, I hooked up all the wires for the AVC-R, except for one, which is the speed sensor wire (white wire). The manual said to tap into the cruise control plug......where do I look? There's like three or four sets of plugs above where the computer is located.

I have never personally required to have to splice into the speed sensor wire, but I know it can be tapped into a wire going into the cruise control box.&nbsp Sorry I can't give you any more specifics than that.

The cruise control is located by your left foot if it where on the dead pedal, it would be around the ankle area.
I have both an AVCR and SAFC on my TII.
I didn't hook up the speed function either.

You don't have to take the dash out. It's in a little box of it's own over there.
You can just splice a wire in to it.

Yea, I realize that now. I wasn't thinking and overreacted. The only thing the speed wire to the avc-r does is activate the speed dependant boost right? I think I can live without it.

Thanks again

What settings are everyone who has a S-AFC using? I'm using stock injectors for right now, my 680cc secondaries will arrive Tues. along with my Walboro. I just want to get an idea on what to tune the AFC to. I have a HKS downpipe along with K&N intake. I also have a Racing Beat FCD (not using it yet).

Thanks

...and after I hook up all these piggybacks I will have spent more than the cost of a standalone and still not have the flexibility.

not to be a d*ck, but this is not the best way to run an FC.

You're right about that, but I didn't purchase them at the same time. I've had the S-AFC for about 3 months and I'm now getting around to installing it with my newly purchased AVC-R. At the time I couldn't afford a lump sum of 1k for Hal, much less the complications of installing it.

Also, it may not be the best way to run an FC...but it's more user friendly and IMO looks better.

With that said...now can anybody help me with those settings to steer me in the right direction?

That's not true either.
The S-AFC cost- $400
AVCR-$500
Plus you don't have to be a rocket scientist to install them.
I AM buying an E6K within the next few months. I know how to install them. It will end up costing me around $1500 for everything and that's installing it myself.
Most people can't install EMS's themselves, so that would cost another $1000 for somebody to do that. Now your talking $2500 versus $900.
