Question What is my car worth? Selling it :(

What do you guys think i can get for my car? I'm selling my 1987 TurboII. The 13b 2 rotor motor was recently rebuilt to and has under 2000 miles on it. The body has around 115k. This is my project car baby, the interior is in great shape but the exterior needs painting. There is a small dent on the front of the hood (to much pressure applied by previous owner). All stock internals have been rebuilt or replaced or checked over to make sure the performance level is not to extreme for them to hold up.

Modifications are as follows:

Steel Braided Oil Cooler Lines
Fuel Pressure Gauge
HKS Air Intake
Blitz Blow Off Valve
Jspec Turbo
Jspec Exhaust Manifold
Racing Beat 2 1/2" Downpipe and Pre Silencer
ACT Pressure Plate
Racing Beat Street Strip Clutch Disc
18lb Steel Flywheel
Greddy Exhaust
Synthetic Redline Gear Oil
Eibach Sport Springs
Air Pump Removed
Dual Belt Alternator Pulley
Street Ported Motor
New Bearings
New Seals
New Oil Pump
3rd Gen Oil Pressure
3rd Gen Fuel Pump
Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator
720 CC Secondary Injectors
All BUR9EQ's Spark Plugs
ApexI AVC-R
ApexI S-AFC
ApexI Turbo Timer
17" Enkie Shoguns
205/40/17 Toyo's in the Front
205/40/17 Falken's in the Back
Panasonic Cd Player
Infinity Perfect Speakers

This car is fast, it is estimated to put down around 275hp at the wheels. The car weighs 2600lb. It is a 13 second street car. I wish to sell the car to start a BMW project this winter.

Please tell me what you think its worth, and if you are interested email me. chrisk@chrisknox.com Thanks!

Ya, i was hoping to get around 7 or 8 for it, but i'll take what i can get really.

If you are interested email me, you are in wilsonville i noticed, i'm down here in Ashland, Oregon.

I also forgot to mention the car comes with 4x 245/45/16 BFGoodrich racing slicks, and a set of stock RX7 88 Turbo II rims.

I also have a Sparco front mount intercooler kit and a To4E turbo upgrade kit if applied together the car is capable of 425-475hp. These can be worked into a deal for the car if you wish. I'm open to any proposal.

Sorry to turn the 2nd gen forum into a sales pitch...

i cant afford another 7, mostly because im a college student now (aka unemployed), so i cant really even afford to keep my NA, i just couldnt afford to maintain a sweet turbo II and i wouldnt want to drive it to school every day. if anything, i would have to buy a second car just to drive around and have the TII for fun. once again, very nice car, but i think the paint is whats stopping you from naming your own price. peace

I was also gonna say with all those mods it should be worth around $6000.

With new paint done right maybe $7000.

I think vaughnc's assessment is pretty good.

A car is only worth what someone will pay for it. Its next to impossible to get a car loan for a 1987, and I doubt that many people have 7 grand laying around to spend on a 15 year old car. Your car should be worth 6 or 7, and I hope you can get that. But I don't think I could get 7000 for my car: 1990 T2, haltech, 60-1, FMIC, lots more, 400 rwhp. Now, I've put over 7000 in my car in the last year, but I'll never see that, so I'll never sell it

Just trying to give you some ideas. No feedback is bad feedback, right ?

Depends on the listing you put it in as well. Classic / rare car mag, import peformance car mag, etc.. - $$$$$

Depends on how you list it as well. I bought mine from a "general" autotrader listing. He had a TII with low engine miles, and all was advertised was "1991 rx-7 blue."

I would have listed it "91 rx7 turbo TII restored, modded, prestine, good perf. deal"

If your car had a pristine paint job, and an equally impressive interior I'd offer you ~$6000-6500 for it.

As I can see in the picture, I'd offer $4500 for it.

However, keep in mind that I don't take modifications into account. If anything I deduct them from how much the car is worth to me. I'd pay more for a stock car in excellent condition inside and out than for any modified car.

The turbo is a TO4E 60-1 P-trim. Its never been used. I have a custom built, high flow manifold for it. I also have the downpipe for the it, gaskets and the oil lines. The only thing the kit doesn't come with is a waste gate, you can purchase a decent one for about $400.

The front mount intercooler kit is a Spearco intercooler with all the piping and attachments.

Everything is custom built for a tII this is much better than anything you can get from Greddy or HKS because each piece is all upgradable depending on the output you want. This whole setup is good for about 425-475hp if tuned correctly. Thats got you running in the 11's maybe lower.

For the whole setup, Turbo and Intercooler kits i would like to get $3000.

It doesn't have the full interior, but i am selling it with a full interior, all installed. Sorry for the mixup, i didn't want to turn the part of the forum into too much of a sales pitch.
