RX7 Spark Plug Boots
Hi, first off I just want to say I am a complete IDIOT!
I have a 1987 Mazda RX7 that I flooded, so I took out the old spark plugs, put new ones in and... I forgot which spark plug boot goes where!!! I know which color went on top and which went on bottom, but I have no idea in what order. I was going to try a few different ways, but I don't know how bad that can be for your engine.
I've tried all kinds of websites and looking at the owners manual, but I still have no idea what to do.
Can anyone help me?
Thx,
Libby

Ok, that makes sense, do you know what would happen if I tried to start the car and one of the boots is on the wrong spark plug? I really have no clue about the mechanics of any car... Any advice is very much appreciated.

hold up hold up. There is a T and a L on each coil for top and bottom positionings. there is also a white dot on each coil also stating which boot goes in front.
WHite dot = front rotor
T = Trailing which in turn means top
L = leading , it goes on the bottom
Make sure ur L spark plugs are on bottom and ur T plugs on top.

On the other coil pack you will find "L1" and "L2". That coil pack is for the Leading (Lower) plugs so "L1" is for the lower plug on rotor #1 (front) and "L2" is for the lower plug on rotor #2 (rear). Just remember T=Top, L=Lower. Number 1=front rotor, number 2=rear rotor.
