GA Rx7 Coolant Light

my 1990 rx7 coolant light comes on when the car idles, i recently changed out the thermostat and replaced the coolant. could i have air in the lines somewhere? id appreciate ne help

That would be you have air in your lines somewhere.
Bleed it!

also after driving for a while, i popped the hood and looked in the coolant talk to see it boiling slightly, any thoughts, and thanks i will bleed the air out, although i need to find out how first!

Near the radiator there should be a screw between the radiator and the upper hose.
If yours does not have one, you'll have to buy a bleed kit for some $ and connect accordingly. If while bleeding you constantly have bubbles, you may have to rebuild your engine.

the screw is plastic, so dont strip it all the way out.. it sucks....

remember you need to fill the radiator (not the overflow tank) when re-filling the coolant system after a thermostat or hose change.

ok so the screw to bleed the air is where? all i see is the nut that holds on some wire in the top of the radiator. and can some one give me a good site that details how to bleed the air cuz im a little confused on how to do it.

air bleed is on the passengers side top of the radiator and is a #3 Phillips sized screw bolt.
