is there a difference between n/a and turbo tps

just as the title says, is there any difference? will a n/a tps work on a turbo, and does it matter if it came off of a s5? I really need some help cause i just got all my injectors, fuel filter, and fuel pump replaced and my car still does the same thing. Its an 87 gxl with full t2 swap. The problem is that when i give it gas the damn thing acts like it is losing fuel, it just cuts out and will backfire sometimes, i can feather the pedal and it does a lil better. Im just confused and tired so any help what so ever is appreciated

TPSs from the same series are the same, whether turbo or NA.

However the S5 TPS is not the same as the S4 TPS.

yup, i have done this many times seeing people charge almost nothing for the "na" tps and a lot for the "turbo" ones. Its only a bracket in difference and its not too hard to figure out how to make it swap over to another.

The S5 TPS has two plungers and a completely different plug. It wouldn't plug into your S4 wiring.

http://www.mazdatrix.com/86-92Electrical-Engine.htm

Mazdatrix lists two different parts for the s5 turbo and s5 nonturbo TPS (but s4 TPS is the same for both n/a and turbo models). You are saying that the s5 TPS's are interchangeable despite the part # difference? I haven't looked up the actual Mazda part catalog to see what it says.
