Running Wire Through Firewall

I want to run a wire through one of the various holes in the firewall on my 87 base (N/A), but I'm not sure which to use nor where it will come out. I would ideally like the wire to come out in the small "cubby" below my cd player head unit. Any suggestions? Thanks!

on my mint 88 i did not want to drill anyholes through my firewall so i just popped foward the rubber boot around the speedometer cable and passed through there. Close enough to the radio to me. Now if you want to drill your own hole your on your own there

use the far passenger side grommet that your main ecu wires run through. it has enough space around the size to run quite abit of wire through it. use a razor for a small cut and push the wire through. it will come out about behind the GB

I've ran some through my speedo. cable hole, and some other one on the drivers side inside corner. Like to the right of the clutch fluid container.

And when I was lazy, I ran it from the battery, up the fender, by the windshield, and in the door to the stereo. (but thats fixed now :-) )
