Question Rotor Question

I have a pair of rotors that im putting into my engine once i rebuild......but they are dirty....carbon deposits, etc.....what should i use to clean them

I have never done a rebuild but I guess carb cleaner or gasoline.

Soak them in carb cleaner for a few days, then use a stiff wire brush.

A parts washer is great for this.

Don't use gasoline since that's rather dangerous.

Chem dip! 12 hours and they are clean. I buy it in the 5 gallon size since the rotors wont fit in the gallon size.

where do you buy that chemical dip? How much is it? What brand? I also heard engine degreaser is good too.

I got mine from schucks. It was $58 or so. I was worth every penny. If you say 5 gallon chem dip they should know what your talking about.

I've seen people soak them in one of those purple cleaners as well. Seems to do the job.
