well i just keep my foot on the pedal (TB mod) untill my a/f gauge reads rich, about 15 second then I usally have to wait about 15-30 secounds to exit my apt complet (damn traffic) and I'm on my second rebuild with 240 mils on it so no revs above 4k for me for a while

30 minutes is a bit conservative actually, but it takes at least 20 minutes in my experience for the oil to get fully warm on even a hot day (like 85*F). That's just the rule I follow, because as the oil gets warmer, engine wear due to redlining decreases.
Tomorrow I'll take a stopwatch with me after school and time how long it takes for the oil to warm up from a cold engine.
As I said before though: isn't waiting another 10 minutes for warm up better than forking over money for a rebuild when your oil rings go?
