Rev limiter

ok heres the deal I just recived my 89 Tubo II and i had to take it for a spin it ran great and iddled well and everything. But when I got to about 5.5K or 6 thousand it would seem like a limiter would cut on and it would kind of jerk for a second and my revs would drop down a bit and then accelerate fine. And I thought that this was to low set to be a proper limit. Could it be that becasue its a J-spec car the limiter would be lower. Or do i have problems. I am very new to the Rotary but know something of pistion engines. Thanks

Fuel cut at 8.6psi. This is controlled by the ECU, and is nothing to do with the J-spec engine. You need a Fuel Cut Defender to avoid this. Search for "FCD" and you'll get tons of info.

Fuel cut, do you have a boost gague to see how much boost your getting, you might be getting to much causing the ecu to cut fuel to the rear rotor. A fuel cut defender could help you if your not going to much past stock boost.. Try searching for it.

Edit: Got beat to the punch

How much boost are you running? If you don't know, the first thing you should do is go buy a boost gauge.

And you don't need to buy parts to stop boost creep, you port the wastegate.
