second gen motor mounts install
Has anyone replaced the motor mounts, with the engine still in the car, on their 2nd gen rx-7 ?
Im thinking just take it to the dealer or a good shop with a lift and let them do it from under the car. If anyone has done it without too much trouble on their own, without having the car overhead, only jacked up a foot or so, and if theres anything special I should know, a better way etc.
I see that the mount setup on the rx-7 is a little different than other cars, having the rubber mounts sandwiched in a steel cup shaped holder, etc
any info is appreciated..

Easily done. Just use a jack on the bottom of the transmission to lift the engine up a little.
Replacement procedures are in the Haynes and Factory Service manuals.
