That would be the reason! A buddy is at a race now and is getting killed with the limiter. BTW if you haven't hit the limiter lately give it a spin. The worst thing you can do to a rotory is to never rev it or lug it around shifting at 3500rpm. Carbon will build quicky and compression will follow shortly

peak power is at 6500 in an s4 and 7k in an s5, so you would want to shift 500-1k rpm above this, where the curve falls off to the point that you would make less or the same power after the shift at 5kish
