i was having problems with my bnr stage 4 and greddy profec b. the profec wasnt able to release the pressure, so the wastegate was opening too soon. i talked with Bryan and he told me to put inline with the supply side to the control solenoid. a carburetor jet .060, works great now.

but i dont know how well this would work on just a stock turbo with no controller of any sort.

yes, it restricts flow. but the question i guess is why do you need it to restrict flow. you should be fine with just the stock turbo and wastegate. if you have a turbo back exhaust you want to get your wastegate ported to help control boost spikes.

its supposed to be inline with your boost sensor from the factory. Im not sure what it does either, i dont have it, but i have 3800 hesitation among other problems.

My guess, its probably just to smooth out the boost reading to the ecu. On my rtek, the boost sensor logs do show some fluctuation, even though my boost gauge shows a steady reading. I just dont know where to get one?? mazda dealer didnt know what i was talking about

word i got was they are there to smooth the signal to the boost sensor.
i had a problem spiking into the fuel cut zone without it. all i had was 3" exhaust from the turbo back and a modded filter box (on my 88tII)

yes, the pill smooths out the signal the between the Boost Sensor and the Ecu. It does help.

You can buy the restrictor pill from Mazda for a couple of dollars. Alternatively anything will fit snugly into the vac line will work fine; just drill a 0.5mm (0.020") hole through it.

I understand what the restrictor pill is for, but I have emissions removed now and put my restrictor pill in front of the tee that goes to my boost sensor and my BOV. Should that cause any negative effects? Should the BOV line be free to allow vacuum asap? I'm just kind of disappointed because I'm guessing I'll have to get some more vac line, oh well.
