restictor pill

Dose anyone know of a easy way of making a restictor pill? I need one and any help would be great.

solid brass, round stock with a hole drilled through the center of the proper diameter.

but seriousely you need to be more spesific. as was stated above (see karak's post) what do you need it for?

you would probably be batter off going to a plumbing supply company and asking a sales rep about what you are trying to do.

The easiest way would be to vist/call Mazda and order one (p/n 8931-13-986). Otherwise you can make one out of anything that'll fit snugly inside a vac line. Drill a 0.5mm (0.020") hole through it.

what exactly does the restrictor pill do? I don't have one in the vac line to the pressure sensor...

It stops pressure spikes reaching the MAP sensor and sending odd readings to the ECU. TII's with no pill and no FDC will often hit fuel cut early.

yeah the time I really noticed this was when i installed my microtech vac hose on the uim nipple and found that the boost readings where all over the place. I then put the vac hose on one of the vac nipples on the tb and found that the boost readings where smoth. I wonder if I just would have used a restictor pill if it would have worked.........hum. Maybe I'll try it
