Profec B pill hose t-fitting questions.

I'm getting a GReddy profec B in a couple days and am reading up install stuff at this site. Looks simple enough, but he states that you cut and tee into the boost AND the precontrol pill hoses:

-----
"Locate the "Boost Pill" and "Precontrol Pill" hoses in the diagram below. Cut theses hoses in half. Use a "T" connector to connect the two halves of the hoses from the Wastegate Actuators. Then connect the other two halves to another "T". You should now have both wastegates connectted. The wastegate will connect to the "Out" side of the stepper motor. The "In" connects to the other set of hoses "T"'d form the fork looking nipple."
-----

Hmm.. confusing.

Some guys say you should not tap into the pre-spool control pill for a t-fitting, only the wastegate hose(robrobinette). Only tee off of one hose, and that is the wastegate actuator hose.

Can someone explain or draw the EXACT setup for the hoses on this image? It's probably similar to the PowerFC.

Thanks !

Don't do it man.

Do Not tap into both lines. By doing this you will be trying to control both the prespool and the wastegate at the same time. This is WRONG. You only want to tap into the wastegate not the pre-control. This could possibly cause damage to your new Profec-B or even your turbo's. Imagine having the Profec set to open up the wastegate at 10lbs. It will open the wastegate at 10 pounds boost and will hold the prespool closed until then as well. You would get no prespool resulting in a big dip during the 4500 rpm transistion. I'm sure there are other drawbacks too.

Use these instructions instead. They are tried and true.

Thanks Chuck. That's what I figured, that both actuators would conflict with each other. This pic at Robrobinette's confused me also, where the pre-spool is teed off. Maybe it's for the Profec A.

Yes, that is a Home Depot needle valve to control the pre-spool. You just worry about the other hose and from the pic you can tell exactly where each end terminates. You will run a hose from the 'out' to the wastegate actuator(right side of hose in picture) and the 'in' will hook to the pressure feed (left side of hose in picture). Believe me, I know it can get confusing. But, it is really simple and you should have no problems. Best of luck

Also, make sure you run a safe boost level. You don't want your engine to go boom!

oh yeah... nice and easy, initially set to 0 (7psi) and slowly wick it up.
With FCON ECU, DP, CB, and K&N, I think no higher than 11.5 is good, although probably good for another 1-1.5 safe psi. I've been spiking to 14 on the second turbo lately. I opened my wallet, looked inside, and said "no mas" Thanks Chuck!
