Brake upgrade, need advice.
I didn't search at all, so if this has been covered, don't reply, I'll do a search.
I just bought a Rotora big brake kit (13" rotors w/street pads). Should I upgrade my rear rotors and pads, or should I be okay with them. I want to keep the braking balanced, but I don't know how powerful these brake are.
I have a 88 sport package, hard suspension 5 lug, etc. etc. The rotors where resurfed recently and are well within spec, and the pads have much meat left on them.

Corksport is selling a rear brake upgrade that looks suspiciously like 3rd gen rotors.

A custom bracket is needed to move the caliper, so when you factor in that and the cost of the rotors it's not like they're ripping you off.
You might need to reproportion the brakes with a proportioning valve, or change to a bigger MC to reduce pedal travel.

There's actually a thread about the corksport rear upgrade around here somewhere. IIRC they're FD RZ rear rotors. As for balanced brakes, try different rear pads to even things out if it's a problem, it's cheaper and more reversible than a rear big brake kit. The 929 MC might be a good upgrade down the road too if you feel that pedal travel is too much, it's 1" vs the 7/8" of the stocker and is nearly a bolt on.

uuuUUUUUuuu. 929 MC huh. I think I might do that. I am going to search that to see what's involved. Those rotors look good. I may do that as well, and if it still isn't balanced enough, I'll do pads too. Figures though, I just did a brake flush w/racing fluid about a month ago. Hopefully I can salvage some fluid. That **** is expensive. Thanks a lot guys.

What exactly do you use the car for?
I use the car mostly for street use, but I am going to be bringing it to Limerock often once it is in good running condition. I need good brakes for that hairpin after the straight.
So, according to this, I need a S5 booster and a 92-95 929 MC, along with other stuff, for the swap. Tell me if I am mistaken.

They *might* be the RZ rotors, it's just a faded memory I have. I could very well be wrong. I searched for the thread I remembered seeing about them and I can't find it, so there's no confirmation.
If you're worried about the expense of the brake fluid, you may want to consider changing to the FORD DOT3 stuff, it's got a 550 degree F boiling point, but make sure to check, as they reformulated it recently, and it's got a 500 degree boiling point now. I've still been able to find the 550 stuff at auto parts stores, so it's definetely still available. It's also about as expensive as other brake fluids, so you'll save lots of money overall. It likes water, so you'll need to flush it more often than most, but at that price, it's not a big deal. Many racers (real racers) use it with no problems, and my dad and I each use it. I've tracked my car a few times with no fade at all.

My car brakes fine now, but I know it can be better. After lapping Limerock a few times, I am sure I'll experience brake fade a lot faster w/stock braking opposed to this new setup.
