Removing OMP
So, I decided I am going to remove the OMP. Premix for life..... LoL...
Anywho. What do I use to block off the current OMP valves? I saw they screw in, so i was wondering if I use a bolt that fits in there?
Also, where do I get the block off plate for the OMP? I noticed that mazdatrix has a block off for the first gens, but will it work on a second gen?
Thanks!

I hate to be that guy, but you need to try the SEARCH button. Keywords: "OMP block off plate." This has been covered 1,000's of times.
That being said, best thing to do if you are removing the OMP is a block off plate. Best place for them:

They have SS block off plates and come with the hardware.

Sorry. I did search for OMP removal, and didn't find anything. Lots of junk.
Archives is the first place I looked, I must have missed it. It has been a bad day all around. Sorry guys.

Well, I went and bought the 10mm x 1.0, and they don't fit.
. So, I am going to take the OMP valves to the store and see if I can get them to figure it out for me.

Thanks, just trying to learn
Well I'm not a big fan of premixing anyway, but those who swear by it will tell you the carbon deposits left in the engine from regular oil burning will cause wear on the rotor seals, evetually leading to a lowering of compression. This process would take a very long time, which is why I don't think premixing is anywhere near as beneficial as some claim. If you have an old engine, you already have those carbon deposits all through your engine. Removing the OMP and premixing won't do anything to remove those deposits, so the damage will continue to be done.
As for how old, who knows? The process is a grgadual one, so the older the engine is the less beneficial premix is. All it does is extend the engine's possible lifespan by reducing internal wear. It won't stop you blowing the engine through abuse or poor modification, which seems more common that simply wearing out.

i HATE the thought of having to dump oil into the tank.
i guess im to lazy to take the extra 5 minutes to do it AND to have to spend that extra $$$$ every time i fill up. gas is expensive enough by itself.
