No offense but punctuation makes the posts a lot easier to read and more people will probably reply to it. Also people might not be replying because this is a very common question and can be answered by searching the forum.
That said, if you want a reliable car just start going over it from head to toe and nose to tail replacing worn out items. Plugs, wires, hoses, blah, blah.

get a hanes manual.
also, your only 16, learn to drive first. your lucky, i had my frist car at 18 and i wrecked it and i now have an fc at 19. the scartiest thing is driving it in the rain. i lose controle of it all the time. first of all, i would ( notice i was the only one that said it ) drive the snot out of it the first week. basically what this will do ( in theory ) break or losesn or burn anything that wasnt up to par.
get a new pulsation dampener, or get a banjop bolt. whitchever you prefer. i have a banjo bolt and i am doing just fine. then replace the vacume lines, and replace the oil metering pump lines, or if the havent broken, try and break them ( im serious, they should be very flexible ). then just replace the injectior o rings since they get hard. also, i shoiuld note that if you want to disconnect the airflow meter, dont unscrew the wires from it. i did, and learned my lesson driving to school. just go slow, and dont rush. thats the worst thing that you can do, cus youll miss something.
just do a full tune up. flush and clean fluids, and replace old ore hardened lines.

in all honesty, i still have my original PD at 93k miles. all i know is that it still works, but i'm not going to say that i am doing fine just because my car hasn't caught fire.

realiable fc= change fluids often, pay attention to little details. but most of all, make sure your guages and idiot lights all work, and pay attention to them. also turn off the stereo every once in a while and listen for noises. this will catch 90% of **** that goes wrong. other than that, you just gotta be careful.
an fc with no mods doesnt need reliability mods any more extensive than good fluids and regular tune up parts.
reliability mods are done to support performance mods.
