The Redline buzzer
The Redline buzzer in my FC seems to go off at the strangest times. Like while i'm just sitting in one place or accelerating up to 4K. I'm just curious how to fix this & not have to completly disable it. I does come in handy at times, but at 2,3, & 4K it really isn't needed.
shouldnt ever come on unless you are in the red on your tach... 7k for s4 or 8k for s5 ... might want to make sure you dont have a faulty wire in there somewhere... look in the fsm and trace the wire to make sure its working right or hooked up correctly

There is an adjustment on the back of the tach, but this would be unrelated to the original question as the adjustment is only about +/- 1000 RPM.

Mine at times came on way too early. Other times it didn't come on at all. '91 NA manual. It doesn't matter thought because I take a look real quick if I'm getting on it. Sometimes my passengers wonder if it's a car beeping at me.

Of the FC models, only the non Turbo, manual tranny 89-91 models had a 8k redline.
So if you have a 86-88, or a auto tranny, or a turbo, your redline is 7000.
Thanks for the help. It was my oil, it was damn near empty...Now I have to get a new steering rod. Drifting is fun
, till it turns into an accident
. Got a few leads on that too though. My buzzer sounds off @ 7K w/ the auto tranny.
