redline buzzer at 2K rpms?!?!

I was driving in, and I was at about 2K rpms and a buzzer came on that sounded the same as the red line buzzer. I put the clutch in and let it to neutral and it continued. I checked all of my guages and nothing foul was a foot, so I cautiously parked and shut it off. the buzzer went on for about 30 seconds or so... I can't check my warning lights because they don't work. it didn't feel funny at all, but I would like to know what it could mean.

Have you checked for a coolant leak or low coolant level? Low coolant and the redline are the same annoying buzzer. Hope that helps.

yup, low engine coolant or low oil level. Check your oil level when it's cold.

no coolant in my overflow tank. looked in the radiator cap and there's a little puddle of coolant in there. I checked it a few weeks ago and there was stuff in the overflow. any idea how it could have drained so fast?

It would be easier to borrow or rent a radiator pressure guage. You can find the leaks easier.

I had a leak that would empty the overflow tank in no time. The fix was $1. I added a hose clamp to augment the (CRAP) pinch-type clamp that Mazda used. No more leak.
