88 factory service manual wrong. whats right? need help

i printed up a section of the 88 factory service manual involving the mode control motor and it is wrong. what it shows uses totaly different linkege than what i have. also i got the logicon and mode control motor off of a 90 gxl. i have a 89 tII. my problem is, when i select windsheild it goes to vents and when i select vents it goes to windshield. it is like the buttons on the logicon have been reversed or something. any ideas to as i am doing something wrong?

Yes....You are looking in the wrong book. Get a series 5 manual.

the series 5 manual is just as wrong. If it says "The Mazda Way" on the back, throw it over your shoulder.
