you would need upgraded internal components to go that high. and something like a bridge port or peripheral port. With stock internals and equipment power drops after 6500 rpms.

Id also assume that you would need a much higher flowing turbo than the stock one. It starts to choke itself at ~7k even with opened up exhaust and intake.

Somewhere around 7,500rpm I think is the rev limiter. Unless you're crazy you'd want to get a new flywheel, and a scatter sheild to go along with that so you aren't throwing parts through the floor. There's not much reason to go that high on a street car.

I dont see any reason to need power at 9K or 10K RPM. How often do you plan on staying up there anyway and why not improver your power band as it is to from about 2500 - 7K RPM

fuel cut is 8500
To get 10KRPM out of a turbo car you either need a BIG HEAP OF CASH or... well, a different, slightly larger BIG HEAP OF CASH. N/a's are MUCH easier to get to screaming high revs, and it's still not easy. Don't even try with a turbo. You don't need 10krpm, 7500 will do just fine.

i have a t2 and when i get it above 7k i feel a real loss of power. but i think that is just the turbo burninating. when i get my turbinetics upgrade i think it will have a taller power band. only time will tell.

well on a stock engine/car peak power is at 6500 rpms meaning that after that power drops.

If you crave high revs, wait a year or two & swap in a J-spec renesis.
Then you can grin as the tach goes off the scale..

On the stock dyno chart of my 91, power begins to drop off at 7000 RPM. On an S4, I imagine power might drop off sooner due to lower redline, etc.

and we're talking about TURBO cars here, not n/as. Turbo cars have a COMPLETELY different powerband.

Turbo cars are allready into the powerband at 1500RPM, and have full boost well before 3000. The stock turbo + restrictive stock exhaust = no power at high revs. You can FEEL the loss of power above 6500RPM.

Dude this isint Intial D, why would you need to go to 10k?? Its a turbo, turbos dont go that high. Sounds like you want an AE86. And also do you know what kind of strain you put your engine through if your constanly reving that high?? I dunno its just my own opinion. But to answere your question its really hard to do that, youd be better off trying it in an N/A.
