Rebuilds?

Ok, if no one buys my damn car, I am gonna get a street port and a rebuild. I think $2k is the most I will be able to spend in the next 6 months or so. Any reccomendations on where to get a N/A rebuilt? And yes, I have already contacted Kevin...

Do it yourself... *wink*

I don't have any experience with anyone in your area, so I am no help. Just wanted to shoot a hello.
How's your car? You get that header problem sorted out?

I am just home from my first summer job. In the past 7 weeks, I planted 130,000 trees. I worked 10-14 hour days, 6-7 days a week. I am half-way done my summer work, and home for a quick break, before I head off to go smoke-jumping.

How about yourself? What have you been up to? Whay do you need a rebuild? I'm so out of the loop!

Sean, Your bro.

Absoluty zero desire to rip into my engine. I can pull it and reinstall it in about 2 days (Sean, that how to you wrote for me deserves a Pulitzer!!) So, Atkins? Kevin (hypntyz)? WHere should I get a rebuild and a street port?

RICO, I am very pleased with my rebuild from PINEAPPLE RACING. I did the stage II, which includes new housings. Shipping for me was 153 each way. From SC to OR and back. Rob is very nice and easy to deal with. He is also building my new transmission!!

pinneapple wont be in your 2000 budget. rob told me a while back that he only ports his 5yr/60,000mile engines, and those are a standard 2400 bucks, then the porting is an additional 500or so (dont quote me on that, i dont remember the actual price) he told me that all of his 2yr/24,000mile engines have lasted past the 5 year mark, so basically its up to you. that 5 year warrentee is tempting tho, especially since you will save on labor of pulling and putting the engine in (and agian if anything ever goes wrong with it) not sure about how racing affects the warrenty though.

bottom line, if you have the extra grand, is a 5 year warrentee worth it to you?
