rebuild?

Ok here we go again. I just yanked out my old engine (blown coolant seal.) Now the real one, is it a pain to go inside and just change the seals or should i send it off and have rebuilt and ported?

To change the seals, you need to rebuild the engine. While in THEORY you could just change the coolant seals and other rubber gaskets, I would only recommend that if you have ABSOLUTELY NO MONEY. To not do a proper rebuild is just a bad idea.

it's not a bad job, you can order the rebuild kit from your vender of choice and get bruce T's video, you probably have to strip the engine down to shortblock form to ship it off anyway, that's half the work.

Screw buying a kit, there's a thread in the archive about parts to buy, look it up.

the rotaryaviation kit is pretty complete, then get the seal kit or gasket kit that they sell to put the motor back in the car, you should be pretty much good with that.
