Really stupid question for vert owners...

Ok, don't laugh too hard at me on this one, just picked up a '89 vert and was wondering how to get the BBS wheel center caps off without breaking them? Do they twist or just pop off?

they twist off. I use a set of oil filter pliers and a rag, or craftsman makes a nifty little tool. Its like a handle and a rubber strap that slips into the handle, that works the best in my opinion.

Mazda was selling the tool for a little more than $59 a few years ago. BMW was selling the same tool for their look -alike wheels for $15.

As an alternative to a rag and a HFW (Huge F*ckin Wrench), you can get a rubber pipe wrench and it will work just as well.

Edit:

Didn't see all of FCGizmo's post. He's right about getting the pipe wrench at Sears.

I found a tool with a BMW logo on it for a reasonable price on ebay.
