I am doing a trans oil change to redline mt-90 oil. I should only buy 3 qts right?

I am also putting redline light weight shock proof in the rear diff. . . I should get 2qts for that right?

If you know please let me know right away b/c I am ordering it right now. . .

Thanks

yes. the trans will use 2.5 quarts, and the diff will use 1.4 quarts.

look up aaroncake's method for changing, using air pump. www.aaroncake.net

p.s. I used a shop air compressor, with a blower nozzle (VERY gently)

The font color on that site is really tragic; I thought my eyeballs were going to fall out. Regardless, it's a neat trick... I wonder how quickly 170psi would fill the tranny with oil.

Word of advice: be sure the tranny and diff fill plugs unscrew first... don't get yourself in an interesting situation like I've seen some people do.

hmm... I guess it depends on how much of the explosive spray you could get into the little fill hole. after blowing up 4 or 5 hundred bottles you may get enough into the transmission.

or, on a serious note, build/find some container that can handle the pressure and has the proper fittings, transfer the fluid into the high-pressure container, and go for it. that's actually an interesting idea... reusable, high pressure ready, universal fluid moving bottles!
