Hmm, I actually thought the GTC was a slick looking front end. What made it especially interesting is that it is only made for the 3rd gen and Chuck had it molded to fit the 2nd gen. The only problem I had with it was that they were having a hard time getting the mold to work out right for the 2nd gen transformation and it wasn't a perfect fit.
There is a guy on this forum who has that front end though and did some bodywork to make it fit nice on his FC and it's the ****!! I believe it's painted black and he is running the 3rd gen turn signals. Looks like he has a one of a kind now. How's that for unique.
If I can find the picture of his car i'll post it.

I'm sure if you took the time and effort to get one from Japan you wouldn't want a bunch off knock-off junk replicas running around.
I don't know if you understand the concept of owning a high quality JDM body part like the FC 2000 full cowl. The reason the FC 2000 kit is so sought after is because it is so limited. Thats why I wanted it, no one has it. It's not some knock off that everyone in town has. If we start putting a bunch of rippoff crap on our cars were no better than Honduh ricers.
Chuck go sell your kit you designed and quit ripping everyone else off!
Thanks, Ed

Otherwise you will have to pay a lot of money for shipping cost from Japan to US. If you are not in Cali, you will have to pay another shipping cost. I know for sure he does not have an account with the US freight companies. Do yourself a favor and check how much it is to ship a bumper from Cali to East coat. If you don't have an account, it ranges from $200-300.
You are better off buying the original from me since I use the container and you don't have to wait for him to bring you the product. How many bumpers can he bring with him anyways? You think he can bring 10 bumpers with him onto the airplane?
The fact is neither my replica or the original is very affordable. I am not going to sell it for cheap. I want to use better component than those cheap IPF fog lights.

For those of you that are interested in purchasing a RE FC2000 Cowl. I thought i would share my personal experiences with the RE kit. "First and foremost not to offend Re Amemiya or anything, but in all honesty for the price of the kit, i was expecting BETTER QUALITY. as far as fitting the kit is concerned it is "NOT" a direct bolt on whatsoever. The bumper has to be modified for it to go in perfect. Also you figure that when "RE" designed the kit they would obviously take the time out to figure out "HOW THE HELL ARE YOU GOING TO CHANGE THE BULBS WHEN THEY EVENTUALLY BURN OUT ? ". Because when the bumper is installed there is "NO WAY" you could possibly fit your hands in there to remove and install the bulbs, unless you got hands of a 3 yr old child. Not to mention for the price of the kit you figure it would come with some spare bulbs. Also the "IPF" lights that come with the kit are "THE BIGGEST PIECE OF **** I HAVE EVER SEEN AS FAR AS LIGHTING IS CONCERNED" when you wash the car a couple of times, after awhile. "I DONT KNOW HOW" water leaks in the bulbs and then they get fogged up. From the heat of the lights you figure after sometime it would dry up the water inside but it doesent at all, and the worse part is that in the day time it looks so ugly looking at the bulbs with water sitting inside them. Also the lens covers that come with the kit are piece of **** as well. Wash the car a couple of times, and then you will see that you "ALWAYS" have to unscrew the "DAMN" lens covers and dry up the water on the inside so you dont see those ugly water spots when it dry's. Which leads to broken lens covers in very little time from "unscrewing and screwing, the lens covers which brake in the corner where the screws are located. "Again ladies and gentleman you figure for the $2,000.00 dollars + $200.00 shipping, and not to mention the trucking company called me up stating that i need to pay a additional $129.00 to cover the gas/frieght surcharge. For the money the quality is not that great !!! It was shipped by "Roadway Express". Not to mention when i called "Rotary Performance RX7.com" i spoke to Rocky and Ari several times to see if they can can get me replacement bulbs, and lens covers that i needed, and to no avail they NEVER got back to me, even after 15-20 phone calls no B.S. !!! They were more interested in selling me the kit and taking my money $$$, but after i installed it, and then i ran into the problems with the lights, and the lens covers, they could not get me replacement parts "UNBELIVABLE". They promised me they would look into it but nothing, never heard from them again. Keep in mind i bought the kit in Oct of 2001 at that price. Now they have dropped in price. In my opinion its just not worth it. When my car came out of the shop it was beautiful unfortunately after having the kit for a few years things happen like paint chips and i got into a fender bender as well. If you guys need pics i can post some to let you see what your up against. But its a disgrace to post pics of my T-II now in the condition that its in. If you guys need any more info just P.M. me Thanks.

Right now I am talking to the RE-Amemiya exporting agent to see if I will be able to purchase 20 of those RE Amemiya original full cowl bumpers without lights at an disocunt that I will still be able to offer the original bumper with my own headlight kit for $1000 and with HID for $1500 to you guys. Maybe we can work out a deal so everyone will be happy.
I don't want to make a copy of it if I don't have to. My goal is to provide the best product with the cheapest price. If it can happen that way, I rather buy more from RE Amemiya. Let's see what happens.

^^^ I think that's a great idea Chuck... Then you won't be out a big investment of building molds, etc. and you wouldn't have complaints about fitment, etc. Well, maybe some complaints, but the response would be: "Hey, talk to RE, they made it."
I'd be interested either way in the bumper w/o headlights or your own kit. RE is definitely my personal favorite of bumpers, and $600 sounds like a very good price. I can work out the headlight details myself -- or only $400 more and I can get yours ready to go...
Keep up the good work and keep us posted.

About the water getting in the light covers. Maybe try a thin layer of clear silicone around the edge of both the bulbs and the edge of the cover before putting it back on. Wouldn't make it any harder to get off really and should work.

Ryde or Die I was going to do that but unfortunately the water got in there first. So when I get the replacements from Chuck im going to do it just to be assured that it wont happen again. Thanks for the advice anyways.
