If you have to ask that then you haven't seen them. Also, there is not stock header, there is a stock exhaust manifold, and its a good 2 feet shorter than the RB header. The only way to get the header to hook up is the RB presilencer, the bonez cat disigned to be used with the header, or a custom replacement pipe (NOT recommended due to extreme noise.)

no.. But, if you use a RB presilencer aswell, it bolts upto the stock catback location.

Ok, I allready have the RB cat back, and replacing the rest this winter. What do you guys think would be quieter, the RB header+the RB presilencer, or the RB header+the Bonez Cat?

Sorry, didn't meant to sound snappy. If you look at them, though, they are very different sizes.

the header is just a metal pipe that's bent (pretty much) + the stock is this giant hunk of metal with some holes in it. if you don't want to mess w all those pre-silencers + such, look at pacesetter headers. thats what i have. only complaint i have is that its rusted, but i bought it used. i think you can get a rust coating over it.

Talking

Just want to make sure I got this right, since I'm considering purchasing a RB Header: the RB Header WILL NOT line up with the stock cat?

Nope, it only lines up with the bonez cat designed to fit it or the RB presilencer.

if you get the newer "streetable" RB header, It'll replace the cats and connect directly to the y-pipe....

Unless they changed the design of the header and forgot to update their site (highly unlikely) then you need the presilencer to bolt it up.
Taken directly from the page for the streetable header:

(In this application, the presilencer will bolt-up to the factory Y-pipe.)

FAIL
I used to have the streetable RB header, you need the presilencer aswell. The presilencer bolts to the stock y pipe.

Well, the presilencer is just straight through. It just has a tube in it with a bunch of holes, so I would think the bonez cat would be quieter.

Back when I had a RB header, I thought it sounded better with the presilencer versus a high flow cat, but I had the stock y pipe and mufflers so your will be different.

I have the RB Streetable header with the Bonez cat, followed by a Rotary Performance cat back. My exhaust is considerably louder than my old setup of the RB streetable header, Random Technology cat, and HKS cat back. Lots of inside resonance in 5th gear at around 80. But this is not my daily driver, so when I get into it, I want the full driving experience. Am I pleased? Yes. Power gains? Yes. About 10 to 15 hp total, but the throttle response was the biggest difference.

Corksport vs RB header?

hope its not too late to jump in this thread,

just wondering what everyone thought about the CorkSport 'Power Series' N/A Header? Is the quality any better than RB's header??

Corksport- Header is made from 304 SS

RB-Header is constructed with .125-inch wall, mandrel-bend, mild steel tubing

The corsport header is pretty new to the market so I haven't heard much about it. If its fomr corksport then I assume its a good quality product, though. The biggest thing is the thickness of the flange that bolts to the engine. If it is too thin it will warp from heat, but it should be fine. The only thing about their header is that I don't think the RB presilencer will bolt up to it properly, and that is the only reliable way I know of (other than custom stuff) to keep the aux ports properly working on an s4 NA.
Edit: it bolts up to the stock cat, so you can keep them working by retaining the stock cat, or if there is an aftermarket one that still has the split air pipe connector.
