racing question

well tonite i was out and i raced my friend for the millionth time but this time instead of shifting at 7 i went though it and cought up faster. usually i cetch up at 3rd gear. if i did this all the time what would the consequences be and would this improve my 1/4 time at all??

7000 rpms? You are loosing a lot of power up there, having a TII. Try shifting at 6000-6500 Instead.

Yes, don't drag past 6.5 rpm's. That's your best range.

Power under the curve is higher if you shift at the red line or even beyond (trust my first hand experience, you don't want to do that).
