im replacing the thermostat right now and the new one doesnt fit snug with the hole. is it suppose to have space between the two surfaces? the old stat i took out has a flat gasket around the unit, the new one has a round o ring type gasket. im guessing i have to bolt it down good which would causes the gasket to look flat after time... any help now apprieciated.
