quick Q

ok so i put a carb on my 88 now the tack does not work i am using msd 6al i just need to know if i can keep my tack. and what wires i can remove from the efi harrness. and now my temp and gas gauge does not work. thanks .

Just because the fuses looks good doesn't mean they are. You have to test for continuity to be sure.

i am runing msd just with 4 coil packs. I do not know how else to do it

How do you drive one MSD 6AL into 4 coil packs???

BTW, the MSD 6AL should have a tach output - just connect this straight to your stock tach wire.

Check the Mazda FSM for the wiring diagram, or maybe some of the FC electrical gurus *cough*HAILERS*cough* might chime in?

Tach wire is yellow/blue at the trailing coil...

I'm wondering how this person is running an MSD box with 4 seperate coils and managing to deal with trailing timing and split?!?

Switch to a '81-'85 distributor setup, or put the stock (or an aftermarket) EFI system back on.

Check the 1st gen forum and search for "transistor trick".

Have you considered looking at the wiring diagram for the 2nd and 1st gen?
