Quick n Easy BOV Question...
Hey, sorry for asking but this was the place i thought would be best. Im not having any problems, I just wanted to know if the older style HKS sequential BOV (bronze in colour and longer) and the newer HKS SSQV (oblong shapped and silver) fit onto the same flange?
because i have the older BOV and am looking to get the new one and wanted to know if i can just buy the universal bov with no flange and directly swap them onto the same flange.
Thanks for any input.

Hey man.....you bought one!!!!
Did you try checking out the HKS website to see if they have any diagrams of the 2 units?
Not a direct answer but mabye there is something there for ya.
Dont forget you may need to blank out some of your old vac lines that go to the intake (air box) when you do the swap.

I did!
Thanks, I checked the site and they don't have anything on the older BOV anymore. I did, I got a frost cap that fits perfectly!

I have another question now about my BOV. Now with it installed I can't build full boost and hold it, the boost gauge will climb to full (+45) on the gauge and then drop off just a little bit and I can even hear the turbo spool down a bit. Everything seems fine, no leaks. Im wondering if it could be a problem with the BOV itself or if im missing something?
Please anything on this matter would be a great help.

To me it sounds like your spring adjustment is off. Check this link for adjusting you BOV.

I highly agree, you need an aftermarket boost gage now.
Do you like the sound???

I was gonna say i think it is the spring adjustment. The problem I have there is that my BOV manual is in japanese so I have nothing to go buy. I have tried different screw adjustments and gotten different results, but none have led to the system running perfect like before i installed the valve.
