Quick help on Transmission ground

I was wonder if anyone could tell me where the ground that is on the top of the transmission goes to. It has a black connector, I thought that it hooked up to something on the trans but I cant find anything. I should know this but I just cant remember and it is pissing me off because this is the last thing I am waiting on to start me rebuild.

Thanks

It goes to the firewall on the passenger side just to the right of the windshield wiper motor. There should be a little prong there for it to connect to.

Can you take a pic of that one for me? I don't really remember one on the drivers side, but that could be because I have a TII.

I tried looking in my factory service manual for it but I couldn't find any pics. Try looking in yours if you have one or try getting somebody to host that pic for you.

I looked it over again and the ground has a small amount of wire and then reaches a connector junction. The ground it self has a whole for a bolt and then a small rubber block thing on it. I am having a hard time finding a bolt or something for it to go onto.

Any help would be greatly appreciated/.

it should be connected to one of the bolt on your slave cylinder. good luck!!
is the oil pressure sender condensor. If you know Icemark, he's better in telling you what it is. All I know is it will give you bad reading on your oil pressure sensor gauge.

The ground for the tranny goes from the back of the motor/front of the tranny to the fire wall. It is about a 12 AWG wire. It is easiest reached from the passengers side of the car, but it is almost dead top center on the back end of the engine.

Are you sure you are not confusing this with the oil pressure sender's condensor which is a small black plastic condensor with a single wire 18awg wire coming out that is only found on the spark plug side (drivers side) of the motor?
It looks like this:

That mounts to the 10mm bolt on the slave cyl on S5 cars or the top of the motor next to the slave cyl on S4 cars.

hey....that's my pic!!! hehehehe.....
yeah...if it looks like this, it should be mounted on the slave cylinder and there is a similar one mounted on the driver's side shock tower.

Wow, thanks guys! I found that little black box laying on the UIM and hadn't a clue where it belonged since it's missing the wire!
