quick clutch/trans ?
so yeah, i just got a S5 TII motor and and an S4TT trans....should the clutch form the S5 clutch fit the splines on the trans and should the disk and PP be the same size as the S4???
i tried to swap my S4 Clutch masters clutch to the S4 TII motor and and the clutch disc on the S4 is larger than the S5 which i think is rediculous!! but yeah so i tried to use the clutch that the motor came with and yeah....splines on the clutch disc dont match the trans!! could this be an N/A clutch or is the S5 differetn?? if so is my only option getting a new trans or do they make clutches that work with the swap???
thanx for all thoes that help!!!

also is it true that the manuals dont have counter weights??? cause i am looking at a light weight flywheel but if i can use my S4 that would be cool.....im lookin at this site right now....
http://www.tweakit.net/shop/product_...roducts_id=101 or does that mean i have to get one from one of thoes as the one on the manual trans is intigrated into the flywheel??

The flywheel has a counterweight built it. You need to at least use the flywheel from your specific series, since the rotors have different weights. Ideally, you would use the flywheel that the assembly was balanced with or have the assembly balanced.
btw, that MC Chris song is f'ing hilarious.

An aftermarket flywheel will be the same, but you have to use the counterweight from an auto trans car from your series car.
I think you got N/A...

Something is really fucked up here...
All Turbo II transmissions have the same input shaft specs.
It sounds like you got a non-turbo trans???
The clutches should all be the same for all the Turbo II's.
The Mazda OEM clutch discs are different thicknesses, but almost all the aftermarket clutches are identical whether it be Zenki or Kouki.

hold up a sec...
if I were to say, buy a ACT lightweight steel flywheel would I need to get some sort of counterweight for it?
http://www.nipponpower.com/view.phtm...in%3A+Flywheel
it says that the counterweight is required, but do FC's (s4 TII specifically) come with one already from the factory?

the counter weight is incorperated into the stock flywheel on all manual rotarys!! so yeah, it comes with one from the factory, but if ur gunna upgrade to a light weight flywheel then u need to get a counter weight!
lol, rotaries have many surprises
so, now that it has been established that I need a counterweight, will any counterweight do?
I would imagine that I need a counterweight that goes with the lightweight flywheel? or would say, an s5 counterweight work?

u will need the counterweight that corrisponds with the engine so if u have an S4 ull need an S4 counter weight and S5 for S5......i think S5 and S6 (FD) are the same but not sure.....
