Zero on the stock gauge should show zero on an aftermarket gauge too.

i'm around 15 inHg at idle at 1200rpm. it would be more vac if mine idled lower. the factory boost guage reads up to about 8 inHg.

any ideas about why my autometer reads so much higher than my stock guage?, i don't think this can be good.

also, does your aftermarket boost guage stall at 5.5psi? if it does, what does your factory guage say at the same time? maybe the factory guage is slow.

do you have a FCD? those seem to fug up the stock boost gauge big time I have heard. If you don't have a FCD I would check your boost sensor out via the FSm to make sure it's okay. Cause if it's not retarding your timing right you could be in for trouble.

wheredo you have your Autometer plumbed in at? And I don't want to start a **** contest here, but I have heard a few negative things about autometer boost gauges in the past ... but if you have it hooked up right, my guess is you stocker is off... I doubt an autometer would be off by as much as 5PSI.

I don't have a FCD, but I have read many times that they pretty much make the stock gauge useless. I am willing to bet thats the case here, but I would wait for someone else with a FCD to chime in before you worry too much.

I'm off to chase some muff, G luck to ya ..
