Question Quick BNR3 question....

After getting the turbo installed and everything, my BOV works and is being run off it's own pressure source, etc, my turbo on boost and a neutral revv has compressor surge....

if i boost 8psi or whatever i hear the BOV and compressor surge, is this normal for a BNR3 or is something wrong?...

if something IS wrong, what could it be?, how bad is compressor surge?...

i should add, it did NOT do this with the stock turbo and the only reason it does now is because of the turbo....

when the compressor wheel spins the opposite direction, or there's a surge of air?...

mine sounds like a;

" shh shh shh shh shh shh shh "

going from loud to quieter....

not yet, i will do that after class....

i remember on the stock turbo i tightened it down alot because it would leak at idle a bit and blow off waaaaaay to soon....

would it really make that big of a difference being tightened a ton as to it being neutral or on the loose side?...

blitz bov's FTL. flutter occurs when the BOV does not vent the boost and comes backwards when the throttle plates close and hit the compressor wheel. where is your BOV located?

it's on the hard pipe maybe a foot and a half from the turbo....

it never did this on the stock turbo, only the BNR....

ok so, on my blitz DD i loosened the screw 3.5 turns and it wont flutter till above 4psi, then it flutters or has compressor surge, or whatever the hell it is....

does this give any of you guys any other idea's?, the BOV doesent leak at idle, it's almost all the way out, and goes off with almost no force....

Maybe its not able to release enough air from the bigger compressor? Time to upgrade?

I don't know for sure, but it could be a possiblilty.
