not if you wish to use the stock S5 ecu. it will limp mode on you. also you need the S4 throttle body hookups.

actually now that i think about it, i have no idea if the mounting point is the same or not.

The mounting is apparently the same, im positive that I asked the same question here a little while back and was givin the answer that you would need the mechanical gear to drive the OMP as well installed. I am seriously still considering this..

any other input?

correct me if i'm wrong, but s4 are mechanical, and s5 are electronic....
i know that the block off plates are different, so the actual pumps should be different...
i ditched my omp and went pre-mix

If you put a S4 omp in a S5 you will need to change the front cover, put a S4 throttle body in and still leave the S5 omp hooked up and tucked out of the way some where if your running the stock ecu or the car will go into limp mode. Why would you want to do it?

Aren't all the OMP's mechanical and the actually oil pump itself different by being electrical or mechanical?

Yes, they are both gear driven. It's the linkage and control valve that is mechanical or electric. The electric S5 fails to max flow. S5 front cover pictured, see the drive gear, same as a S4.
