Question about Premix RX7

I have the following question about premix:

What is your fastest way to get the proper amount of premix (2 cycle engine oil) and put it into the RX7 gas tank at the moment when you fill it at the gas station?

Right now I'm using a plastic needle that I get from the hospital to measure the premix. But it takes a few pumps and some time to measure the premix and fill the tank. I was thinking in another idea: To use a measure cup (the one that our moms use at the kitchen) and a plastic funnel to measure and put the premix into the tank.

What another methods do you use?

try searching "premix". I believe the most common is to dump a full quart in when putting in a full tank of gas

considering the rx-7 omp runs 100:1 fuel to oil ratio.. that come to about 1.3 ounces to every gallon. what i do is 1 ounce per gallon and add an extra ounce for every 3. the two cycle bottle has a way to measure on the side of it. some bottles are hard to read but when u find a good one, just keep it and buy 2cycle by the gallon. if u end up with 8.6 gallons. just round it off and pour in 12 ounces. done some may think 1.3 ounces per gallon is to much but i dun care

Since I don't have an OMP on the RXX-7, I have add 2-stroke oil when I fill up. I found a brand of TCW-3 oil at Target a few years ago (they don't carry it now) that came in a translucent, plastic bottle. The bottle has the capacity marked in millilliters on the side. Since I use 25 ml oil/1 gal gas, I pre-fill a few of the bottles with 300 mil of oil. At the gas station, I dump in the oil, then add 12 gal. of gasoline.

If you don't want to carry several bottles, use one to measure the oil as necessary. That's what Rick Potter and I did on his FD during the One Lap of America.

If you check at various garden supply or auto supply stores, you can find other brands that have similar bottles.

what about the other stuff.. like the high blend of the 2 cycles? like the synthetic ones. do you do the same with that stuff? just every ounce a gallon.. or more to say a pint per full fill.

i work at a liquor store, and i've been wondering if i should stock up on pint size bottles(half a quart) and store the 2 cycle/stroke oil in it . keep it in a box for an occasional full fill per pint.

To the best of my knowledge, it's a matter of volume, not quality. I have never heard of anyone suggesting that you could use less of some premium brand of oil. Two objections to the pint liquor bottles:

1) keeping glass containers in a car just doesn't sound safe to me

2) (being a bit paranoid) I can see some a*****e cop writing a ticket based on the "open liquor container" law.

As much stuff as I have read on this site this is the first time i am hearing about this.

Someone should have prepared a newbie starter kit or care package so those who dont know and are new to this wont find out on the side of the road.

Every car that i have and have had i have always run a quart of trans fluid in my tank every 5 fillups or so. this is an old racing trick from way back in the day. It keeps your lines, injectors, and fuel pump from building sediment.

but this is the first time i heard about the lawn mower oil in the mazda. This should be a sticky. Alot of people dont know!

I just kind of eyeball it with the handy translucent measuring strip on the side of the bottle. I generally aim for about 1/2-3/4 ounce per gallon or so.

I just bought this 2-cycle motor oil mixing tool at walmart and it does a good job, can inject 2 oz at a time. Looks like a giant syringe.
