not really, unless you buy a used one...the $100 or whatever bucks should be worth the piece of mind that your car isn't going to catch fire. some people use banjo bolts and bypass it but there's always debate about that.

If you need to I would go ahead and do the banjo bolt. However if you got if you got the cash I would spend it on getting a new PD.

russels part # 640700, it comes swith a 1/8 n fitting in it that you can block off, but i used the hole to place a pressure sending unit on it to monitor fuel flow. If you got an orielly's auto parts store hey can get it for you in a couple of days, just tell em you need a banjo bolt and give them that part # and tell them its a russels brand and they have to order it.

Ok, so it would just be easier to bypass it right? But would i have to worry about anything later on down the road?

It's definitely up for debate, but I have been running mine bolted off for a number of years and have never had any problems. Simplify.

What about all the problems this can create?

Anyone hyping up the banjo bolt mod needs to give both sides of the story. Or at least advice to search on the banjo bolt to find the very important information on side effects.

Fix the damper. $100 is pocket change and the new one will be good for another 20 years.

yea don't banjo bolt that thing. not worth it
but a $100 investment isn't bad. $100 isnt
pocket change for me thats a weeks
worth of gas dammit. but
think about $1500 for a new engine or other burnt ****.
compared to $100 for something that can last prolly beyond a rebuild

There are two sides... always have been, always will be....

I did it with ZERO negative results.... your mileage may vary...

Correct, two sides. One side is right, the other is wrong.
