Pulley swap question, Supercharger application

Swapping my v-belts for a serpentine pulley setup for my supercharger project. Sourced a set of 13B-RE pulleys from a club member that looks like it might work, however I was under the impression that the RE pulleys were 6 groove instead of 5. I was really hoping it was 6 groove because of concerns w/ belt stretch and slippage around the blower pulley at high rpms. Am I mistaken about the Re pulleys being 5 groove.

Anyone on the forum w/ superchargers, Any experience w/ slippage? What pulleys are you using? Any chance you could post pics of your pulley setup?
Sure would like to find out.

Trainwreck, If you see this post, Pls. chime in.

Also would I be able to use my AC pulley w/ the RE pulleys?

I just used the pullies from the atkins kit, 6 gove.. and I never had any problems with slipage, not even when driving at for 2+ hours at the track in a single session with rpms ranging 5k-9krpms.

Here is picture of my old setup:

Sorry I couldn't help you out anymore.

From the looks of that setup, Was it only tensioned by the alt. adjustment? How tight?

I bought the car and experienced no slipping during the 7 hour drive from LA to Reno. God that was long, but definately worth it! I am going to the 10 or 11 PSI pulley soon and a stand alone. I will give you more info when it is done, if that helps at all.

I've made that drive a few times when I lived in Ca. Wintered in Reno in 2003.

How was the acceleration up them hills? I really curious how the blower performed at the higher altitude also.

Wonder if the 5 groove belts would hold up if I was to use the RE pulleys and just get the Atkins idler pulley. But only if I get to keep the Acc pulley for the AC.

This is bluemunkey's girlfriend. He had to make some small adjustments to the safc II in Auburn but once we started pulling the hill and getting into the cool air it had a nice pull.

it looks like the blower will force the air upwards...that doesn't seem right to me, or how do you have it set up?

A blower pushes air around the outside of the supercharger, not down the center.

That blower pic was mising the upper intake mani. The blower itself sat on top of the LIM.

I do believe they're geared internally to turn the right the correct way. Just trust me. LOL.

Here's his thread. https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...t=supercharger

Any other supercharged RX owners/ tuners?

Also, Bluemunkey, please post your next mods and results. Would like to see more.

Don't know if it's possible with the Camden setup but I'd seriously start thinking of cooling that intake charge w/ H2O/alky injection if you're planning on raising boost any.

Wish I could get somebody to verify that the stock accessory could be used w/ the RE crank pulley.

Can anybody answer this question on the pulleys? It's about using the RE main and an S4 accessory pulley together on the crank. Are the dimensions still the same? Wouldn't want to lose the AC function for this project.
