Project update
Sorry its been a while since an update on my project. 87 RX7 TII...so far I've done the following:
2.5" exhaust all the way back
TID/Cone filter
All emissions removed
Corksport Type II full kit
New black carpet/headliner
Recovered seats
All interior pieces dyed black (was grey interior)
17" Konig Imagines
And yesterday:
New shocks all around
B+G springs from SpeedMachinePerformance (1.5" drop)
resurfaced all brake rotors
Axxis pads all the way around
Blasted and painted calipers
Coming soon:
Walbro pump
Ported wastegate
Boost contoller (set to 10 PSI)
FCD
Fresh paint (black exterior too)
Lexan sunroof
This thing is really coming together now (its been 5 months in the making with only time to work on it on Saturdays). After a quick test drive yesterday to try out the new suspension and brakes, it feel like a whole new car. The suspension really was shot. Cornering at high speed feels like you have glue on the tires and are on rails. Acceleration is badass, but I'm taking it a bit easy till the wastegate and fuel upgrades are done. The biggest challenge suprisingly has become the sunroof fabrication. The sunroof was rusted out so I removed the whole assembly and am fabicating a non-movable tinted lexan moonroof. I had to fabicate a mounting rail system and cutting the lexan is far from easy. I'm close though...the lexan just needs a little trimming here and there and it'll fit perfect. Soon its off to the paint shop for a shiney new paint job. I know I've been promising forever, but pics are coming very soon!

Pics!!!!
Ok guys heres a few pics I snapped yesterday.
LOWFREQ...I wasn't very clear...I got sheepskin seat covers for the seats. I would however like to have them reupholstered within the next few months. I know a guy that does excelent work that offered to do both seats for $230.

Where'd you get the skirts and rear?

The whole kit is made by Corksport and thats who I got it from. Great company to deal with in my experience. Its a copy of the Border kit which is mucho $$$. The Corkspork version is very reasonable...I got the entire kit for $920 shipped across the US.
