So it looks like I am going with the Motec. Heard lots of good things about the Haltech and all, but Motec has much more advanced tuning. I kinda look at it as the difference between a mac and pc.

good point. those tires will be up in smoke in 30 minutes with the new set up.

I am buying the 8" BBS rims off Elliot. They'll be on once the motor is built.

I'm doing suspension next. I just really need to get back behind the wheel. 7 months with no boost?... can you even imagine?

what are you having Elliot do?

Hey Nene. I have been watching your blog too. That radiator is CLEAN. I picked up and old aluminum rad for $10. It has a small leak that can be fixed. A steal for sure, but I'd much rather have that nice new one!!

What kind of motor mounts are you going with? I'll need to grab some soon and am open to suggestions.

Check out the Rims I just picked up. 8" BBS. About as wide as I can get with stock suspension. Should take care of the meat problem... Ha They are pretty light too.

Don't like the gold, so I'll paint the spokes black.

Duplicolor wheel paint. Make sure you let them cure first before subjecting them to anything. Forgot how long the cure time was, couple of days I think. The best way of course is powder coating, most durable in my opinion.

Thanks!
I should look into having a shop do the powder coating.

I ordered my Motec system today. Should be here monday.

I am the first one in the USA to have the M2R other than the Motec Employees. It's not even on thier Aussie website, much-less the US site, yet!

Also got a nice Mazda steering wheel. It's the first piece to my S5 blk interior conversion. This thing is pretty cherry for being 15 years old. Got it from misterstyx69. He was great to buy from.

thanks for your interest. I am real excited about the motec. It seems so much easier than haltech.

The M2R is a cheaper than the other motec systems because it is ONLY for 2 rotor applicaitons. No 4 cylindar or 3 rotor possibilities. But that's good with me, I love my 2Rotor.

The guys at motec usa are hooking me up with a base map, so we dont have to engineer the whole fuel system. They just released this system and motec usa has only had them in stock for a week. If you want a price quote, call motec usa.

As I learn more about the system I will post more.

Today I pulled the old fuel pump and placed the Walbro in the bracket. The old filter wasn't really that dirty, but there was some sediment in the gas tank so I decided to hold off on fully installing the new pump. I am going to take the tank off and clean it out before putting the new pump in.
Also, should have the new steering wheel out in tomorrow.
